Connecting the dots…
They say the super power of people with ADHD is that we are great dot connectors. We see connections between things.
I took this photo this morning and as I sat to write it occurred to me:
Tulips: my Dutch heritage, beauty in winter, short lived joy, a person with ADHD lives always in the NOW.
Yellow Vase: a gift from a former colleague in adult education, a time of pride and pain due to undiagnosed ADHD.
Fired Clay Disk with Bird: made by me in high school, more than 35 years ago, when I didn't know I had ADHD and struggled daily, and loved making art.
The thread is my neuro-differences - ADHD.
The theme is resilience.
The point is life keeps moving!
February was a surprising and fulfilling month for me. I was in the middle of a sobering deep look at all the features of ADHD, in my studies at iACTcenter. And I boldly proposed to the founder of the program that she should hire me to help her out - and she did! So I have a great part time contract. And I started a wonderful new relationship - butterflies and all. And I continued coaching some clients too!
My heart feels full. Life is good, and the right kind of challenging.
And that's why I am making updates to my site after a few months of quiet.
I am a new Life Coach studying to be a Certified ADHD Life Coach. I'm on my way. Be in touch if you'd like to explore coaching for yourself. I'd be honoured.
The "dot connector" thing is one of my super powers in Coaching too - just sayin'.
Onwards!
